Biography

Alan has been in local church ministry for 24 years. He is a graduate of The University of Central Florida and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He has helped Senior Pastors in churches in Kentucky and Florida. Alan has been at First Baptist Lutz since June 1994. He assists the Pastor through the enlistment and training of leadership for Bible Study groups, Children’s ministries, Missions ministries and Discipleship groups. He also helps by being involved in the ministry of telling people about Jesus. In the church it’s called evangelism.  Alan and Lisa were married in Winter Park, FL on December 1972. They have two grown daughters. Kristyn is a Teacher’s aid at a local elementary school. She graduated from Tampa Baptist Academy and holds an AA Degree from Hillsborough Community College. Maryjane is married and currently works at a pharmaceutical distribution company in Tampa. The entire family is actively involved in activities at FBC. Lisa is the Church Pianist, sings in the choir and ensembles and teaches preschool children each Sunday. Kristyn sings in the Adult choir and provides special activity Child Care and Maryjane sings in the choir, ensembles and also sings solo.
