Charles is a lifelong resident of Tampa. He grew up in North Tampa and attended local schools. He graduated from USF with a degree in Finance, eventually going to work for Tampa Electric Company. While he was brought up in a Christian home, he didn’t accept Christ until he was 28-years-old. In 1986 he sensed God calling him to vocational ministry and went to Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. After graduating from Southwestern in 1989, he returned to the Tampa area and has pastored First Baptist Lutz since. Charles is married to Debi (Bragg), and has three grown children, C.J., Chris, and Kate, all married with families of their own. His children have given he and Debi nine grandchildren. . . to date.
Associate Pastor for Music & Worship
Steve is the son of a pastor, and has been involved in church life in Wisconsin, Connecticut, Texas and Florida. Hearing the gospel message and seeing people’s lives changed, Steve responded and accepted Christ at the age of 8. At age 17, during a mission trip, Steve had a life changing experience which led him to a calling of full-time church work. He has degrees in Church Music and Religious Education, and he has been at First Baptist Church of Lutz since 2001.
Drew was born and raised in Hollywood, FL until 1988, when his family relocated to Herscher, IL. After graduating high school, he moved back to Florida and met Shana, his future wife. They married in December 1996, and have been blessed with five children: Hannah, Ethan, Abigail, Alexander, and Noah. Drew & Shana joined FBC Lutz in 2008, and have served together in the children & student ministry since 2009. In 2016, God placed a calling on him to pastor the middle and high school students. Additionally, God gave Drew vision that this was to be accomplished through community oriented discipleship that includes his wife and children. Together, they labor as ambassadors for the Kingdom of God, acknowledging that they have been entrusted with the responsibility of making disciples that will go make disciples.
Amanda was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and received Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very young age. She graduated from Tampa Bay Tech High School and went on to earn a BA in Christian Counseling and AA in Church Music at The Baptist College of Florida. Since her graduation in 2004 she has had the privilege to serve in local churches as both a music director and a children's director.
She currently lives in Wesley Chapel with her husband Randall and three children: Tyson, Riley and Katelyn. She joined the staff at FBC Lutz in 2016 and is passionate about bringing the gospel to children and discipling them to a deeper lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.
Associate Pastor of discipleship
Dan grew up in Kansas City, MO, in a Christian family that served extensively in the local church. He is the youngest of five to his mother, Joyce, and father, Tom. He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO from 1992-97 majoring in Vocal Music Performance and Education, and then Pre-Veterinary Medicine and graduated from Liberty University in the spring of 2013 with a Multidisciplinary Studies Degree. Dan and his wife Sarah have an eight-year-old daughter who is full of energy and is an absolute delight to their hearts, and have a three-year-old boy who is full of adventure and keeps them laughing.
It is Dan's desire to help create a culture of discipleship at FBC Lutz where we respond to the love of God by learning to live and love like Jesus, fully submitting to Him and His Lordship as we walk through life.
Associate Pastor for Missions
Brett grew up in Oklahoma City, OK, and is the oldest of three children. He received his education at Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. With more than 40 years of ministerial experience, he has served churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Connecticut, Louisiana, and Florida in various capacities, from Minister of Youth, Minister of Education, Administrative Pastor, Senior Pastor, and Missions Pastor. He is married to his wife, Jenny, has three grown children, and seven grandchildren. He recently resigned as the Florida Baptist Disaster Relief, Cleanup and Recovery Coordinator. His interests include teaching, reading, golf, woodworking, and traveling.
Associate Pastor for Administration
Paul was born and raised in Rochester, New York. Though he was raised Catholic, he accepted Christ in the early 80’s at the First Baptist Church in Roswell, Georgia. He was also dating his future wife, Valerie, at the time, and they have been married for over 25 years. They have three grown children: Jessica, Jordan, and Jenna. Paul earned an Associates Degree in Ornamental Horticulture, as well as practical experience in a vineyard in Naples, NY (John 15:5). He has overseen landscape maintenance operations in seven Florida counties, as well as acting as executive housekeeper for a 245-suite hotel. Paul has also taught Sunday School for over twenty years, focusing on marriage and parenting. After being ordained as a Deacon/Pastor at FBC Lutz, Paul’s experiences have uniquely prepared him for Administrative Ministry. It is his desire to be a good steward over all the resources that God has so richly provided for the FBC Lutz community.
Lisa was born on September 3, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Sophie Rice. She has one older sister, Helen, whom she adores. Lisa grew up Baptist, but did not accept Christ as her Lord and Savior until after she moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1994. She has two children, Lindsay and Dylan. Her desire is to be a faithful daughter of Jesus Christ.
Tom grew up in Fredericksburg, Texas. He received his education at Howard Payne University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. With more than 55 years of ministerial experience, he has served churches and the Southern Baptist Convention in Texas, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Minnesota and Florida in various capacities, from senior pastor, executive director, to church planter. He is married to his wife, Nanel, and has two grown children, and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His interests include running, golf, sports, reading, Sonnys BBQ, and Fox News.
