David Platt wrote in his book, Radical: Taking Back Your Faith From The American Dream, “…my challenge to you is to use one year of your life to radically alter the remainder of your life.”

Having explored all of Platt’s Radical book in 2011, the First Baptist Church of Lutz Family raises the bar and accepts his challenge to explore life change in 2012. We call the journey “Radical Devotion Honoring God 2012”. This is a systematic approach to individual and corporate discipleship throughout the year. The exploration includes daily Bible reading, faithful attendance and participation in Small Groups and Worship, time devoted to God and only to God, sacrifice of things we consider important, health and wellness and much more. Join us on our journey!

            Honor God through regular Sunday morning small group and worship attendance and participation

            Honor God through a time of solitude and fasting

                        spend one hour a week alone with God – do not communicate with anyone but God during this hour – sacrifice something of importance one day a week
