Weekly Mission Family meetings will occur indefinitely at First Baptist Church of Lutz.  You can drop in and out at your discretion.

A typical regular meeting will look something like this.

Meetings will begin at 7:00PM with prayer and a highly interactive group session with everyone having opportunity to contribute as much as they will. This group session will primarily consist of presentations of Building Biblical Households© (Formerly the Family Enterprising Concepts) that we have used to help people found and grow strong Biblical households for over two decades. We will explore subjects until the group is ready to move to the next one. The first session is entitled Values, Beliefs and Principles. Participants will have the opportunity to know, communicate and establish clear and unique family traditions of Biblical values, beliefs and principles.

After the group session we will disperse into smaller group discussions that will generally fall into these four categories.

·         People Helping People

·         Gods Personal Calling and Equipping

·         Leadership Development

·         Ministry Platform Development and Direction

Activities will include:

·         People helping others by getting actively involved

·         Discerning God’s unique personal calling, giftedness and opportunity

·         Developing personal life plans that include getting plugged into God’s work and

·         Helping some lead, create and/or direct ministry platforms.

In addition to the regular weekly Mission Family meetings we will from time to time offer focus groups that will address specific issues families face.  These focus groups will generally last five to seven weeks and there will be a cost associated with participating in them. There will be sponsorships available. The first focus group will be Developing Your Ability to Effectively Help Others offered in April of this year.  Other topics we will in 2011 include:

·         Male Leadership in Home, Church and Community

·         Bystander’s Roles in Recovery From Addictions

·         Charting the Course, a series designed to help individuals discern, map and activate God’s unique equipping and opportunity in their lives.

All that being said, Mission Family will be just like other Family Enterprising ministry platforms, very dynamic.  Mission Family exist to serve people and to help them engage to the fullest extent God intends in His great ministry of the Gospel, first at home and then elsewhere.

God’s greatest venues for evangelism and discipleship are Biblical households. Strong Biblical households build strong Biblical churches.  Mission Family assists local churches in promoting the founding and strong growth of Biblical households by delivering substantial assistance and impactful discipleship to and through families.

Mission Family is an auxiliary program that can be implemented in any church. This particular Mission Family chapter is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Lutz and meets every Sunday evening at 7:00 PM in their Fellowship Hall.
