Even when your away from our church campus there are so many ways to stay connected!

How to stay connected

WORSHIP

Sunday morning, a few minutes before 9:00 AM, log on to this website, look for “Click Here to Watch Stream” and click the link! It’s that simple! The service will start automatically. You’ll be able to chat (use your first name and last initial as your “nickname”, DanL, for example), ask for prayer, sing, see discussion notes… all in one place!

INFO

This website is information central! We’ll try to keep you as up to date as possible on what’s going on at the church. This is also the place to sign up for our eNewsletter feed, which is another way for you to stay up to date!

FACEBOOK

Check out our Discipleship Group and our Next Gen Group pages! These are great ways to stay connected during the week, share daily Bible readings and further discussion questions from Sunday, and to meet people you may not have met before on Sunday mornings! If you’re not on Facebook and you want to be, don’t worry! Check out the tutorial video provided below!

ZOOM

Zoom is a video conferencing platform that allows for large groups to get together via video chat! You can access it through your web browser or mobile device apps, and it’s FREE! There are several Zoom groups meeting in our community every week! Click here to read more, or watch the Zoom tutorial provided below, and  start a Zoom bible study today!

CALL/VIDEO CHAT

Call your friends and family, and catch up! There’s nothing like hearing a loved one’s voice, and this is a great way to connect one-on-one or in smaller groups. Many of you already use these platforms, but in case you want to learn how to get started with Skype or FaceTime, check out the tutorials provided below!

FAQ

Where are the latest events/announcements for the church located?

All major church-wide announcements and events will be showcased on our front page banner. Simply use the navigational arrows on either side of the banner to scroll through the announcements, or click on the thumbnail image of a particular announcement to view it. All other church events will be displayed on the online calendar, which is also located on our front page, or through the link at the bottom of every page. If you have any questions about an upcoming event, please call the church office at (813) 949-7495.

Why can't I access the church calendar?

Currently, our church calendar is hosted through our e-giving page. The link on the front page to the calendar is designed for easy access, however, some users have had trouble accessing the calendar. If you have clicked on the link to the calendar, and are prompted to enter a ZIP code, please enter “33549” and then select our church name. This will take you to the main e-giving login page. You will NOT need to login to the e-giving page to access the calendar. You should see the link for the event calendar, under the login prompt in the left column. (You can access this page directly, as well, by clicking on our e-giving link.) Once you access the calendar for the first time, the button on our main page should take you directly to the calendar, in the future.

Why can’t I find anything on the site?

This is a completely new website, and as such, it uses a completely new organizational structure. All major ministries (Missions, Students, Children, etc.) can be found in the top navigation menu. If you are looking for something specific, like a particular ministry or sermon podcast, try our new search feature. The search field is located at the bottom left corner of every page.

Where is the weekly sermon podcast?

The podcast blog itself is found under the Worship & Arts menu at the top of every page. From here, you will be able to stream the podcast from ANY device or computer with an internet connection. Alternatively, you may also subscribe to our podcast directly in iTunes. Links to this feed are located on our main page, as well as the podcast blog. You can also find us within iTunes itself, by simply searching for “First Baptist Lutz.” Podcasts will appear immediately after posting on the podcast blog page, but usually take up to 12 hours from posting to appear in iTunes.

How can I contact one of your pastors?

If you require to speak to an available pastor immediately, please contact our church office at (813) 949-7495. If you would like to email a specific staff member, however, you can use our simple and easy contact forms on our Staff page. Each staff member has their own contact form, so simply choose the staff member you wish to email. If you have a question about our website, in general, use the Contact Us form located at the bottom of every page.

Why am I being asked for a password on certain photo gallery pages?

We are excited to share about what God is doing in the lives of younger believers (children & students), but unfortunately, we must also be mindful of the dangers the web-connected world presents us. To solve the potential problems this may cause, we will password-protect all photo galleries of children and students. Parents will be the only groups that have access to these galleries, and will be given the appropriate password at the earliest opportunity. If you have any other questions or concerns about these galleries, please contact the church office at (813) 949-7495.

Why are there banners for something called "AmazonSmile" on your site?

Our church has a special account with Amazon.com that allows for church members to shop on the site, as they normally would, but a portion of their purchase will go back to the church AT NO EXTRA COST! Signing up is simple! Just click on the banner at the top of our main page, or the small logo located at the bottom of every page, and login with your Amazon account. That’s it! After this, just go to smile.amazon.com, and shop as you normally would (bookmarking this page would be the easiest way to continue doing this). Amazon will periodically send the church a check with the portions collected from AmazonSmile purchases
